4. Nike x Fragment Design Zoom Meriweather
Nike’s new Zoom Meriwether model entered the market in 2011 to relatively little success, generally attributed to the odd range of colourways chosen for its first release. Although the shoe itself features a strong silhouette and functional detailing, it was begging for an equally impressive colour palette to match.
This came in late November in the form of the Fragment Design collaborative pack featuring a simplistic grey colouring and finished in a premium suede material. Sitting atop the Trailframe ACG platform with Nike’s Zoom Air Cushioning in the sole, the Meriwether offers a comfier, more technical alternative to the classic men’s hiking boot.
