3. New Balance x Concepts 999 ‘The Kennedy’
Another New Balance collab takes third place in the Everpeoples Top Twelve of 2011 and this time it’s the Concepts 999 entitled ‘The Kennedy’. The design for the 999 is inspired by JFK’s love for all things nautical and features an all-over sailing flag print on the tongue tab and lining.
Definitely one of our favourite colourways of the year, Boston- based Concepts opted for a simplistic colouring of white, grey and tan with navy panelling on the heel. Materials wise the upper features an eclectic mix of suede, leather, mesh and ripstop nylon.
Adding another impressive collaborative project to the already sterling New Balance catalogue the Concepts 999 earns its well-deserved spot in the top three of 2011.
