Ludwig Van x Quintin

Ludwig Van x Quintin “Scout Series”

Normally we’d wince a at a brand that comes out with so many collaborations but when they are as good as this we just have to get behind them.

Quintin have teamed up with fellow LAer’s Ludwig Van on the ‘Scout Series’ which has been produced using a cache of old US military fabrics including WW2 era Army twill, Vietnam-era Mitchell camo and vintage Duck Canvas.

Using Quintin’s signature 6 panel cap the caps also use vintage Japanese broadcloth lining, a leather embossed patch, a selvage denim stash pocket inside and lightweight nylon fabric on the under side of the peak.

It’s definitely the fine detailing that make this collab which is available exclusively in the UK from now.

Acapulco Gold – Rottweiler Cap

Urban Industry have just received the second half of the Acapulco Gold holiday collection and included was this Camp Cap available in two colours; olive and navy. The 5-panel cap is made from cotton twill with an all-over embroidered dog print and finished with a corduroy peak.

This and the rest of the new Acapulco Gold collection is available at Urban Industry now.

Quintin Winter 2011 Hats

LA based brand Quintin are back with their new collection of headwear hitting UK stockists now.

The standout piece from the collection is definitely the Sportsman, shown above and below.  Constructed from Houndstooth wool, it’s a hybrid 5 panel with warm ear flaps for the incoming winter months.

The collection also see’s the addition of two bobble hats, again sure to keep you warm and cosy over the next few months.

As well as these new additions there’s all the classic Quintin staples you’d imagine from the brand, including the Collegiate hat, apparently returning for it’s last ever season…

Helas Caps

Helas Caps is the brainchild of French pro skater Lucas Puig which launched earlier this year. A few select skateshops across the UK have began receiving their first deliveries of Helas Caps’ debut collection featuring the three models you see below.

Specialising solely in peaked caps, Helas use a mix of tried-and-tested colours and subtle detailing on their headwear for those looking to avoid heavily branded items. As well as this, both the LP87 and the Capone cap feature a very original new fastening mechanism I personally haven’t seen before. The plastic, sliding adjustable band offers a nice alternative to the standard, fabric pull grip found on most 5-panel caps. The LP87 comes in a blue denim whilst the Capone is finished in black corduroy.

Similarly, the Sunday cap although a 5-panel features a snap adjuster more usually found on a Campus 6 panel. This like the other styles features minimal branding with just the umbrella logo on the side and is available in burgundy and orange canvas.

The LP87, Capone and Sunday caps are all available now at Urban Industry priced at £30.
