The rather unassuming shop front shown above is actually the unmarked doorway to one of the finest assortments of menswear in Berlin, SOTO.
Founded in April 2010 by Philip Gaedicke, Omer Ben-Michael and David Fischer SOTO carries a wide mix of American, European and Asian products from brands including Norse Projects, New Balance, RetroSuperFuture, Ambush, Band of Outsiders, Raised by Wolves and many others.
Literally meaning South of Torstrasse the store sits unassumingly on the south side of the street. The store’s fixtures suit the areas weathered facade with old doors being used as tables and metal office shelving being upcycled to display the stores New Balance selection.
The store is an almost perfect mix of classic staples and current trends with Norse Projects 5 panel caps sitting comfortably next to some hand made Mark McNairy brogues.
They claim on their website that their selection aims to cater to the ‘wide range of styles and occasions that the modern man needs to dress for’, and we think they are doing a pretty good job with that.
